A rounded educational experience at this stage of your life will prepare you for the competitive world of work in the future. When you think of Sixth Form at Beaconsfield High School, think of learning so much more than the theory of A-Levels. We give you life skills, work knowledge and experience, and the tools to thrive. For more information, you can contact the Sixth Form Team directly here and you can download a copy of the Sixth Form Prospectus here.
Meet the Director of Sixth Form
We have a strong sixth form and welcome 180 students into Year 12 every year. Entering the sixth form is an exciting next phase of a student’s career and we are here to guide and support you as you make some very important decisions about your future.
Our supportive community, in which everybody is valued as an individual, means you can expect the highest level of care in every aspect of school life. Each year, the vast majority of our students go onto study at Russell Group or top universities and students interested in applying for Oxbridge, medical, dental or veterinary schools are coached and supported though this very specific process.
Whichever route you decide to take - degree, degree-level apprenticeship or the world of work - we are there to support and guide you every step of the way. Whilst academic success is of paramount importance, we also strive to provide an enjoyable and stimulating environment for every student.
Beyond the classroom there are many extra-curricular activities for you to enjoy, but we also encourage sixth formers to take the initiative and set up their own clubs and societies for their peers and younger students. We believe students who are happy and challenged will discover they are capable of much more than they ever believed possible. A sixth form education at Beaconsfield High means students leave us with greater independence, resilience and aspirations for their future, and ready to embrace the exciting challenges which lie ahead.

I am so excited to take on this role - I love working together with others to create positive change and I am really looking forward to starting on the many projects and ideas which my team and I already have!
I wanted to be Head Girl so that I would have the opportunity to work with a team to make a difference, and to further connect the school community. A big focus of mine throughout the coming year will be on the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff and also on our school's contribution to our wider community and environment.

PreshaDeputy Head Girl
Presha
My time at the school since Year 7 has provided me with the fundamentals to blossom as an avid, reflective, and thoughtful young student. The immense sense of support and reinforcement from teachers has encouraged me to take advantage of and prosper from given opportunities.
Likewise, becoming one of Beaconsfield High School's Deputy Head Girls comes with the responsibility of having such a privileging and gratifying impact in contributing to promoting our well-established student-centered learning approach. This is one of the core constituents of our school which has ensured that we have persevered and thrived, through our challenging current pandemic -which has come with its own set of unforeseeable changes to numerous aspects in our lives.
We hope to turn our reflections from the past year into a reality and build our 'Helping Hand' scheme within the next year. Our aim is to enhance the authentic 'Becky High School experience' by working to diminish social barriers by educating and immersing ourselves into the increasingly diverse school community network.
I am taking Biology, Chemistry and Psychology for my A-Levels; however I am also a creative person and my hobbies include playing the violin, drawing and painting.

KirstyDeputy Head Girl
Kirsty
The role of Deputy Head Girl is one that supports and enables the Beaconsfield High School community to thrive. I am beyond ecstatic to be given the opportunity to contribute to the promotion of our welcoming and creative approach to learning. The core values of our school allow the students to flourish into independent people, connected to a community in which each student is supported, their ability never doubted, and dreams nurtured to their fullest potential. My time at Beaconsfield High School has been invaluable to assisting me in becoming who I am today, and I feel so privileged to be able to work alongside my peers towards our aims during my final two years.
As a student prefect team, we look forward to supporting students even further, enhancing the sense of community that is vital to every student's experience, particularly during these fairly uncertain times. One of the many ways we plan on doing this is through a new initiative, in which various schemes will offer a 'helping hand' in order to spread awareness, coupled with support networks, suited to the necessary topics and needs of an ever-developing demographic of students.
Lastly, a little bit about me: I'm currently studying English Literature, Modern History, and Chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy reading as well as writing, additionally, I'm very fond of period dramas from Pride and Prejudice to Little Women.

Hello, I am Amy Morrison, and I am thrilled to be your new Blossom and Roots Prefect, along with my friend Ria!
My motivation behind being one of the Blossom and Roots Prefects is wanting to maintain the friendly, caring environment that Becky High already has. CharlotteCommunications
Charlotte
Hi, I'm Charlotte and I cannot wait to begin my role as Communications Prefect. As a student of four essay subjects, I thought that my skills would lend well to this position. I am looking forward to continuing to develop and add to the Sixth Form Bulletin, introducing students to opportunities that will allow them to have the best possible wealth of experience for applying to university next year. I also intend to promote societies as much as possible - they are a great way to learn more about the subjects that you intend to study and leading them can be a great challenge and an even greater opportunity!
I am currently studying English Literature, French, Latin and Classical Civilisations at A-level. My interests are, as the A-levels probably hint at, anything to do with ancient history or languages and I love to spend my free time translating - I am even studying Classical Greek! When not at school, I work as an ambassador for the educational charity Action Breaks Silence, so communication is a huge part of everything I do, both in school and outside.

EvaEquality and Diversity
Eva
Hello, my name is Eva, and I am the Equality and Diversity senior prefect, along with Alana.
This is a role I am passionate about because I believe every single student at Beaconsfield High deserves to have their voice heard, no matter their background or upbringing and this is one of the reasons I chose this specific role. In addition, I applied for this role because I knew it would give me the best opportunity to learn more about and immerse myself in the different walks of life and cultures that Beaconsfield High proudly represents, especially as I joined the Sixth Form this year.
During my time as one of the Equality and Diversity Prefects, I hope to encourage students to learn more about each other's culture and backgrounds and I am looking forward to giving people the opportunity to educate themselves on this.
I am currently studying Spanish, French and English Literature and one thing that not everyone knows about me is that I am a huge fan of 80s and 90s music.!

My name is Hannah and I am so excited to be one of the new Charities and Fundraising Prefects for this year.
I chose this role as I love helping people! That may sound clichéd, but I truly believe that with a bit of compassion and understanding we can make the world a better place for everyone. Here at Becky High, we are so lucky to have many incredible opportunities available to us and I really want to show my gratitude by giving back to my school and community. Arwen and I will be doing all we can to raise money for the school and its charities and we would love to hear any ideas that you may have.

I'm really excited about this role as I am very passionate about environmental protection and am looking forward to making our school more eco-friendly. I also hope to work with the Head Girl Team and their vision to grow the sense of school community, so our whole school can work together to ensure we have a positive impact on the environment!
For my A-levels I take Maths, Chemistry and Geography and hope to study Environmental Science at University. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as hockey and sailing.

I wanted this role so I could help support the younger years as they begin to look at potential career paths. Lucy
Hello, I'm Lucy and I am one of the new Student Careers leaders.
