Year 7 Alternative Prospectus

As you know, we’re working hard to give you the best remote transition experience we can during these strange times.  Many of you will have lots of questions about the lessons and clubs we offer at Becky High, so to help answer some of these, we wanted to share our Alternative Prospectus, written by our current Year 7 students for our incoming Year 7 students.  It gives you some information on the kind of things you can expect from lessons and clubs, and I’m sure it will make you even more excited about joining us in September. We hope you enjoy it!

Mrs Ross' Films

Reading the Alternative Prospectus may have started you thinking about what life will be like at Becky High. I know there are often several issues which may be of particular concern to our new students, namely making friends, getting lost, and coping with homework. These are very common and normal worries, so I have put together five short videos on these topics which I hope you will find helpful.  I would ask parents and students to please watch the video on our mobile phone and social media policy and guidelines, as it is extremely important that everyone in our school community is aware of our position on these matters. - Mrs Ross.

Connecting with your Forms

The Friends of BHS (FoBHS) use an app called Classlist and providing you gave permission when you filled in the Enrolment Pack, you will be sent an invitation to join the evening of the 7th of July.  Once you have joined, you will be able to connect with the other parents in your Form, decide on Form Parent Reps and hopefully, arrange some virtual meet-ups between your child and her form.

More information about the Friends of BHS (our PTA) can be found here.
