Why are we doing the Fun Run?
The Fun Run is the perfect opportunity for our students to be proactive in raising funds for the upgrade of their toilets - the most important project in the school, as declared by them.
By taking the initiative to ask friends and family to support our cause, students are taking ownership of this project and working together as a community to make change.
It's not all work and no play for our students. Prizes and House points, anyone?
We're not content with just giving everyone an afternoon away from the serious stuff; we've also bagged a number of fantastic prizes to give away to our top participants and there are HUGE House points up for grabs too!
It couldn't be simpler for students to do their bit. Here's how:
The competition is heating up, and the leading Houses are changing on a daily basis! You just need to pop into one of the current toilet blocks (not great, are they..?) to know why we’re fundraising – shiny, modern, stylish loos will be ours to appreciate sooner rather than later if we can just raise the money needed for Phase 2.
If every single student gained just £140 sponsorship we’d have enough funding to upgrade all of the toilets – that’s all it would take! We think you can all raise that just by asking your nearest and dearest.
Everyone in years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 has been given their own individual sponsorship link online, and all they need to do is share it with friends and family, who will then spend just moments completing their donation details.
