Beaconsfield High School - Area of Excellence - Getting Life Ready  

We are very proud to have been awarded an Area of Excellence in the school by Challenge Partners.  We had a virtual inspection of our Getting Life ready whole school learning programme, GLR curriculum and how we use this as our praise and reward system.    

Challenge Partners work with schools across the country, sharing excellent practice and facilitating peer reviews. The peer review is a robust process, our reviewer was a Senior Leader and a former Ofsted Inspector. The inspector collects documents for scrutiny prior to the visit and then visits the school for a day (virtually), speaking to all stakeholders. Key members of the Senior team and Middle Leaders were interviewed and questioned about our practice and most importantly its impact on our students. We are delighted that we presented enough evidence to receive a designated ‘Area of Excellence’.  Please read more in the report: Beaconsfield High School Area of Excellence Report

When life returns to normal we hope to offer other schools training on developing a learning culture through their school’, like our GLR, and aligning their praise systems to the values, ethos and ambitions of the school learning culture. Through this work we hope to support children in other schools and allow our staff the leadership development that comes from offering external professional development.  

Challenge Partners have very high standards and work with many of the top performing schools in the county so to receive this badge of honour is a perfect addition to our Ofsted Outstanding grading.
