The Fun Run Team Relay is just around the corner!

Everything you need to know
  • The run takes place on school grounds on the afternoon of Friday 4th May
  • Teams of 10-12 students (and some staff teams) will tackle the 1km course in relay formation, covering 5km in total
  • Due to exam season, Y11 and Y13 students will not take part in the fun run
  • There will be an early lunch at 12:30, and the event will take place during P4 and P5
  • Each team is able to decide their own fancy dress theme. This should be agreed amongst the students of each team in advance of the event
  • Students can change into fancy dress at lunchtime. Before this they can wear sporty mufti
  • Fundraising from the event is split into two areas:
    • £1 Mufti will go towards two of the school’s charities: Great Ormond Street and 28 Too Many, as voted for by the student body
    • Any sponsorship and profit from refreshment stalls will go towards the #SaveOurAstro campaign
  • Students will be awarded House points and prizes for a variety of positive activities, including first team across the line, best team effort fancy dress, happiest runner and top individual sponsorship total
  • Any student who is unable to take part in the fun run on medical grounds must notify Miss Thompson by 25th April 2018, by emailing thomps-a@beaconsfieldhigh.bucks.sch.uk. Students who cannot take part in the race will still be involved in the fun by helping to run the event
  • Sixth Formers will not be able to park on site on Friday 4th May due to the race route. Please ensure you take alternative transport or park elsewhere
