Dutch Trip - 12 September
by Lauren Manley Head of Modern Foreign Languages
We were delighted to accept the request to host a group of Dutch students at our school this week. Each of the 49 Dutch students were paired up to a Year 8 or Year 9 Beaconsfield High student and accompanied them to their lessons. The Dutch students experienced a wide range of lessons around our school and came back with great things that they had learnt in Maths, Science, Geography and many more! The students were also treated to off timetable sessions in PE, Music and Drama. It was lovely to see our Year 11 Sports Leaders explaining and running a mass bench ball session with 30 Dutch students and how well our students worked with the Dutch students to create and perform a short drama and music performance.
The Dutch teachers that accompanied the students were so impressed with our school; complimenting our students on how positive, independent and polite they are, excited by the wide range of subjects and extra curricular activities we study and teach and they loved the displays around the school.
Thank you to all Beaconsfield High teaching staff and Year 8 and Year 9 students for giving the students such a memorable experience.
