Christmas Boxes to Chalfont Epilepsy Centre
By Mrs Steph Sullivan, HR & Admin Support
Last Thursday, 124 boxes were delivered to the Chalfont Epilepsy Centre by BHS students and staff. Thank you to all students and parents for supporting this wonderful cause. Your generosity was extremely appreciated by all at the Centre.
On arrival at the Recreation Hall, we were greeted with a room full of Christmas cheer. Christmas songs and music were being sung and the Christmas tree lights were turned on. The residents of the Centre were then presented with their gift boxes prepared by the BHS students. It was a heartwarming experience to see the delight on their faces as they opened up the boxes to see the contents.
After the presentation, we joined the residents and their carers for mince pies and refreshments, sharing Christmas stories and plans.
We will be visiting Chalfont Lodge on Thursday 13th to deliver their boxes. Photos will follow in the January Edition of the Head’s Update.
A special thank you to Dr Reynolds and Mrs Jackson for coordinating this year’s boxes. Also thank you to our mini-bus drivers, form tutors and all staff that have assisted and donated gifts.
