  Hi, I’m Sophie and I’m honoured to take on the role of your Head Girl for the next year!

  From my very first day here, the school’s uplifting and inclusive environment has helped me to grow and mature into the person I am today, and I can’t wait to collaborate with my peers and the staff in order to provide the support I have received in the past. I’ve also always looked up to the Head Girl Team and I hope to uphold their legacies and become the inspirational role model they always were to me, as well as focussing on how we, as a school, can leave a lasting legacy through volunteering and charity work.

  I’m beyond excited to be working with such a fabulous group of students, including the Senior Prefect Team, to help leave a positive impact on the school and wider community, and champion the causes that are close to every student’s heart.

  Finally, a little about me. I take Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing and in my spare time I love playing netball, volunteering in the local community and baking sweet treats for everyone to enjoy!

  Hi, my name is Edha and I’m really excited to take on the role of Deputy Head Girl in charge of academics and logistics!

  I am very grateful to have the opportunity to make a positive difference in school, and I’m delighted to be able to give back to the community that I have enjoyed being a part of since Year 7.

  I cannot wait to help maintain, and build upon, the positive initiatives that already exist, and I hope to help implement new plans and projects that support, inspire, and connect students even further. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the sixth form prefect team to enhance our school community, and make our environment even more caring and encouraging.

  Finally, a little bit about me: the A-Levels that I am currently taking are Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Biology. I love playing sports and the piano. In my spare time I enjoy doing pottery, watching movies and playing video games.

  Hi, I’m Nina and I’m super pleased to be taking on the role of Deputy Head Girl with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.

  I’m grateful to have the opportunity of a leadership role in the school, in which my main aim is to find ways to improve our wellbeing and mindset when thinking about the future. I’m really excited to work with the entire Senior Prefect Team to develop the school and give the students at Beaconsfield High the same amazing experiences and opportunities that I had, so that they can have fun and make the most out of their school journey.

  I am taking Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Spanish for A-Level. When not working I can usually be found playing guitar and some of you might know me from Guitar Ensemble that I lead at school. I also listen to a lot of music, mainly guitar-led artists like the Oh Hellos and Hozier, and I’m a big Aurora fan.

  Hi, I’m Alice, and I’m one of your new Blossom Prefects! I’m really excited to start this role alongside Becca and I chose this role because I want to expand the Blossom Roots programme and integrate it with Guardian Angels to ensure the building of confidence throughout all aspects of school life. My goal is to be an understanding and helpful mentor and an approachable friendly face, so feel free to come have a chat at any time.

  I take Biology, Chemistry, French and Maths A-Levels. As well as swimming for Wycombe, I also participate in many music clubs and am a big fan of the 1975. I also enjoy going to music concerts, surfing and playing guitar. Through being tutored in Blossom when I was in Year 7 to becoming a tutor myself, I have seen how a little extra support can massively boost a students confidence in a subject, and I love the satisfaction of seeing someone you’ve mentored truly ‘blossom’.

  Hi, I’m Becca and I’m excited to be your new Blossom Prefect! I currently study geography, psychology and PE, as well as coaching and playing loads of netball. Through this, I see how valuable it is to give back to younger students with coaching and my aim is to do the same with academics through the Blossom programme.

  I have previously tutored younger years before and seen how valuable it can be in helping them feel more comfortable in lessons and in and around school – my goal this year is to help make Blossom a more accessible and well-known source of help that people aren’t afraid to sign up for. There is a big stigma around asking for help, and I hope Alice and I can break down this barrier and help people ask for the help they want.

  Hi, my name is Lily and I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Careers Prefect alongside Mekavi this year! 

  I am excited to help give students in all year groups confidence in taking their next steps in education and beyond, and to provide them with opportunities to explore the options available to them. I hope to work with staff, students and the network of Bucks schools to respond to students’ interests and suggestions, providing informative resources covering the incredible breadth of ambitions and interests of students at Beaconsfield High School. I also look forward to working with the rest of the Senior Prefect Team.

  I am currently taking A-Levels in history (which I hope to study further at university), English literature, music and maths. In my free time I enjoy playing the violin, the piano and singing, and take part in various musical ensembles inside and outside of school.

  Hi, my name is Mekavi, and I am one of your new Careers Prefects!

  I am so excited to take on this role as I am aware that it can be incredibly difficult to choose a career path, so I would like to help guide the younger years with future career choices, and provide them with any advice and resources needed. I believe it is important to identify your passion and pursue a career path that you like, therefore, I am looking forward to helping other individuals start their career journey, and I will do this by collaborating with students from other schools and creating the best ideas to support our school and pupils in terms of their careers and opportunities present in the future.

  I am currently studying Economics, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level. I love listening to music, reading books, and speaking to people, so please feel free to come and say hi!

  Hello, my name is Khushi and I am one of your new Charities and Fundraising Prefects. Liv and I are super excited about stepping into this role, and can’t wait to not only maintain and better our school’s current charity connections, but hopefully also create new ones, particularly chosen by you guys. If there’s anything that you feel as a community we should be supporting, please don’t hesitate to drop us an email!

  My A-Levels are Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Computer Science and one of my favourite things to do is read (and sometimes, write) poetry. I love tutoring and have heard so many different perspectives and points of view via this, which was one of the reasons I went for this role – speaking to people is both something I love doing, and is something I am really looking forward to doing as a Prefect over the next year.

  Hi, my name is Liv, and I am one of the new Charities and Fundraising prefects! I am super excited to be taking this role on and look forward to working with students and staff to raise money for many different causes.

  As the new prefects, Khushi and I aim to involve ourselves in the school community by promoting the school’s ‘Forever Charity’ (Kachieng Secondary School in Kenya) as well as supporting new ones. The school has an amazing community outreach that I would love to maintain and develop by exploring new charities that students would like to support. I love working with new people and organising events, so can’t wait to get started!

  I take Graphics, English and Psychology A-Level as well as playing hockey for Amersham and Chalfont HC. I love live music and charity shopping, and hope to pursue a career in the film industry after university.

  I am delighted to have been chosen for this role! In this DEI position, I will represent Becky High with resilience and commitment, striving to make an effective, positive contribution to our already remarkable school. By supporting and being there for any member of the school community, I hope to cultivate a diverse environment of creativity, innovation, and empowerment. Specifically, I want to strengthen student voice within the school by celebrating different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.

  Finally, here’s a bit about me: I am currently studying Chemistry, English Literature and Spanish A-Level, with a huge interest in human rights and law. In my free time outside of school, I enjoy swimming, drawing in my sketch book and playing with my cat.

  Hi everyone! My name is Nikita and I am delighted to take on the role of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Prefect here at Beaconsfield High School.

  Throughout my time at Becky High, I have always looked up to the Senior Prefect Team, and so it truly is a privilege to say that I am now a part of it too. Diversity Equality and Inclusion is something I have always been passionate about and I can’t wait to continue amplifying student voice, so that everyone within the school community feels both celebrated and supported. We have recently established a DEI student newsletter which I greatly look forward to developing and continuing, alongside beginning a “Global Citizenship Day/Culture Day” within school.

  For a little about me – I am currently studying English Literature, Maths and History for my A-Levels, alongside an EPQ, and I hope to study PPE at university. In my spare time I love reading, listening to music and cooking.

  Hi, my name is Kiran and I look forward to working with the Becky High community as an Eco Prefect!

  I wanted to take on this role as I believe our environment serves a pivotal role in maintaining healthy and fulfilling lives. Unquestionably, it is our duty as young individuals to protect and conserve our environment allowing it to flourish for ourselves and people in the future.

  With this position, I intend to educate and raise awareness of the value which a more sustainable environment provides, encouraging students and staff of Becky High to take an active approach to caring for our environment. I also plan for all students to deeply connect with nature and see the transformative effect it can have on wellbeing.

  As for me, I am currently studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry and in my spare time I love to chat to friends and family and obsess over the latest fashion and beauty trends!

  Hi, I’m Ishee, and I am very excited to be an Eco Prefect this year, along with Kiran.

  I am currently studying Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths A-Levels. Outside of school, I like to read and play board games with my family.

  Another of my interests is gardening, something I enjoy doing with my mum and one of the reasons I chose this role. I also chose this role as I believe that taking care of the environment is extremely important; I wanted to increase my contribution and our school’s contribution to helping it. I consider myself to be very passionate about the environment, so this year I aim to share this passion with the school community in the hopes that people will be motivated to look after the environment more. As a school, I believe we should be doing all that we can to help tackle the climate crisis, and I want to encourage the school’s efforts.

  Hello, my name is Sienna and I am really excited to be one of Becky High’s Guardian Angels! I wanted to be a Guardian Angel because I believe that the world is a better place when we spread happiness and love. So that’s what I want to do as a Guardian Angel, I want to be an approachable fellow student for the younger years so that they feel comfortable to talk to me about anything they’re struggling with, and also someone to share their joy with.

  I am currently studying English, Spanish, and Drama and for my EPQ I made a cookbook! This is because in my free time I will most likely be cooking to Alvaro Soler songs or obsessing over TV shows like Anne With An E, The Musketeers, or Poldark.

  My name is Lara and I’m so excited to have been selected as one of our Guardian Angels Prefects, along with Sienna. I study English Literature, Maths and Psychology at A-Level.

  I’ve always been very passionate about the mental wellbeing of the Becky High community, as school can easily become a highly stressful environment. In my time as GA Prefect I want to help students make links with our existing mental health support in the school, as well as providing mental health education in order to ensure our incredible students know what to do if they or their friends are in need. I hope to be a friendly face around the school, and I love to hear how our younger students are doing, so do feel free to have a chat!

  A bit about me, in my free time I love to play and coach netball, watch an alarming amount of films and TV shows, and read just about anything I can get my hands on.

  Hi, I’m Abirami and I am excited to be one of the new Harnessing Emerging Technologies Prefects!

  I wanted this role because I saw it as an opportunity to give back to the school, as well as a chance to leave behind my own legacy. Furthermore, I also wanted to be a role model for the younger years just like the prefects were to me. I hope to improve the way technology is utilised in the school. I want to make the process of accessing tools like the school's WiFi easier, therefore, allowing everyone to enjoy the technology in the school.

  A bit about me is, I am currently studying Maths, Computer Science and physics and out of school, I enjoy playing video games, sports like badminton or swimming and spending time with my friends. I also help run Coding Club with the other A-Level Computer scientists.

  My name is Hannah and I am one of the Harnessing Emerging Technology (HET) prefects. Being a prefect will allow me to help students act upon any ideas they have about the technology and programs we use within our school and I hope to be helpful and engaging with this role as prefect!

  Introducing more uses of technology into our school as well as teaching the current students how to use certain platforms such as Teams and Office 365 will help to make school activities and lessons easier to access and more fun. Previously I used to run coding club which helped different year groups interact as well as try out unique projects that other students wanted to do.

  Currently I study Maths, Physics and Economics and I love to dance in my free time!

  My name is Seher and I am thrilled to be the House Student Council for Bhutto. I study History, Politics and Religious Studies.

  I wish to use my role as a way to encourage more students to freely voice their opinion in helping our school community and environment. I would like to utilise my role to communicate any worries or queries from students to members of staff in order for us to improve our school in any way possible. I also look to use my role to make more students familiar with our school’s student council to allow for maximum student involvement in enhancing our school. My goal is to work with all students up and down the school and help at all times to ensure we all enjoy school as much as possible.

  I enjoy playing tennis and volunteering in the holidays at my local charity shop, which allowed me to meet so many new people. I also love going out for a Lebanese meal with my family.

I have always been passionate about creating positive change and impact and I am excited to help ensure that all students feel as though their voice is heard and valued, and their ideas are implemented. I aim to work with my peers, and other student representatives to help make a difference in our school community.

  Here is a little about me – outside of school, I love to go on runs (especially when the weather is great!). I also love volunteering on weekends at my local charity shop, which has helped me meet so many new people.

In doing this, we can ensure that the student input is not only heard but acted upon, making every student’s voice valuable.   My name is Avneet and I am the House Student Council Prefect for Parks. I wanted this role because I feel passionate about everyone’s views being respected and for people to always have a voice to express how they feel and what they want to change about the school.

  My main aim is to contribute to the society within school by creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere so that all students feel comfortable talking to me and the other reps about what they want to change about the school. I aim to come up with solutions to people’s problems and to help improve the school further, so students are proud to be a part of the Becky High community.

  I am currently studying religious studies, chemistry and economics whilst doing an EPQ. I enjoy seeing my friends, going on walks and watching vampire diaries.

I am really excited to work with the Senior Prefect Team to continue to develop the caring school environment that has helped me so much over my years at Becky High. I have got lots of initiatives to introduce to support our students in accessing the help they need and building an environment that encourages positive mental and physical health.

  My aim is for every student to learn the skills they need to maintain positive mental health and the supports they can use when they face challenges in this. I believe that happiness is integral to academic success and so, my approach will be holistic in helping students to be the best they can be.

  Some things about me: For A-Levels, I take Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. Beyond this, I enjoy playing piano, spending time with my friends, writing blogs and making products for the business that I recently launched.

  Hi, my name is Amelia, and I am really excited to work with Meher as your STEAM prefect this year!

  Whilst I am STEAM Prefect, I aim to promote exposure of what STEAM involves, organise more practical opportunities in STEAM for students, and encourage an interdisciplinary approach towards the STEAM subjects.

  I hope to show that STEAM is an incredibly expansive and all-encompassing field, operating across many different scales and subjects, from nanoparticles to food, medicine, phones and superstructures. Rather than looking at subjects as standalone spaces of information, I am passionate about encouraging students to integrate and apply knowledge from a variety of subjects to begin to understand how things work. I would also like to display the creativity and collaboration which STEAM involves in taking knowledge to innovate new ideas.

  I am currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and have been awarded an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, Geoguessr, chess, 3D modelling in fusion 360 and coding my Arduino.

  My name’s Meher and I am delighted to be this year’s STEAM prefect along with Amelia!

  I wanted this role as I am extremely passionate about STEAM, and want to spread my excitement about every component of it with the students in our school. I have several plans to further enhance the appreciation of STEAM within Becky High, and hope that all people interested in the field will help me implement them.

  Also, as we are in an all-female school, I want to improve the participation of females in STEAM. With the industry being male-dominated, I hope that the changes I can make will allow the women and girls in our school to feel that they should definitely pursue their interests in STEAM, regardless of the current ratio.

  The A-Levels I am currently doing are Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Out of school, I love cricket, watching Netflix, and trying new cuisines. I look forward to spending the next year as the STEAM prefect!

  Hi! My name is Simar and I am super excited to be the Student Learning Prefect this year.

  I feel absolutely honoured to be able to work with the Senior Prefect Team and in particular Shangavi (the other Senior Student Learning Prefect) as we work to leave a positive impact within our school environment to make it an even happier place to be.

  My aim for this role is to create a legacy of support and efficiency when it comes to studying as I hope to work with students to make revision easier and more effective. This is particularly important to me as I hope to make revision more manageable, equipping students with the techniques to work smarter, not harder.

  As for a bit about me, I am currently studying Maths, History and Economics at A-Level and am an avid fan of Formula 1! I also, love working with people and enjoy talking so am more than happy to answer any questions you may have!

  Hi, I’m Shangavi and I’m one of your new Student Learning Prefects with Simar!

  I’m excited to take on this new role that our school has recently introduced. Learning, and its importance, is something we are always hearing about which is why we want to make sure you’re up to date with the latest and best learning techniques that researchers have found. I understand we all learn in different ways and that’s why I hope to listen your opinions and make improvements that will help you feel most confident in learning.

  For A-Levels, I take Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I spend my free time playing piano and cello since I love being part of music groups and performing. I also enjoy tutoring and volunteering with youngers. Helping others is something I always value and try my best to do, as I am someone who loves to motivate youngers and be there to listen.
